   News: The Call for Papers has been extended on May 19th at 2pm. The registration as participant is now launched   Welcome to the German Statistical Week  2017, which will be held

in Rostock,  September 19-22th.

The Statistical Week is jointly organised by the Union of the German Municipal Statisticians (Verband Deutscher Städtestatistiker (VDSt)), the German Association for Demography (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Demographie) and the German Statistical Society. This year’s annual meeting of the DStatG will be held together with the annual meeting of the DGD.

It contains the plenary sessions being under a frame topic and a variety of contributed sessions and meetings of the sections. Further it includes the Gumbel-Lecture, which is held by a prominent statistician of the younger generation, and a Minisymposium, which is also organised by a young statistician. The about 500 participants of the Statistical Week all come from different statistics areas.

The annual meeting of the DGD also consists of key lectures, additional lectures and a members' general meeting. A breakfast for young scientists is organized.

You are welcome submit your contributions to the priority areas of the Statistical Week 2017. We would like to draw your attention to the Call for Papers and the young researchers workshop, taking place from 18 to 19  september 2017. Proposals for the DGD’s Best-Paper Award for the promotion of publications from outstanding young researchers can be submitted until June 30th.

From now on, you can register for the Statistical Week 2017 in Rostock and submit papers for DStatG and DGD. Please consider the submission hints below.
